What’s the Difference Between Mercedes-Benz Service A and Service B?

Maintenance Schedules

The following charts detail required service times for model year 2010 and newer Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Schedule A outlines services performed after 10,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. Schedule B shows services performed after the next 10,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.

Certain Mercedes-Benz vehicles, notably those made in 2015, diesels, those with V12 engines, and those produced by AMG®, have unique service needs. Make sure to inform your service advisor if you have such a vehicle and follow their instructions for maintaining it.

Schedule A) 10,000-Miles Required Maintenance Schedule*

The A Service first visit is at approximately 10,000 miles or 1 year. Then it is approximately every 20,000 miles or 2 years. This is for model year 2009 and newer. Please see your service advisor for all 2015 Mercedes-Benz A/B service specifics.

That means you will need a Service A at approximately 10,000, 30,000, 50,000, 70,000, 90,000, miles (etc.). The timeframe will depend on how often and far you drive. The exact time is determined by the vehicle’s Flexible Service System.
