Mercedes E class earns top honors in U.S. safety tests

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class earned top honors among large cars tested for crashworthiness by a leading safety institute in the U.S. The model qualified for the group’s highest award after tests to evaluate small overlap front crashes, moderate overlap front crashes, side impact crashes, roof strength and protection from head restraints. The E class qualified for IIHS’ Top Safety Pick+, the group’s highest award, by scoring “good” ratings in five crash tests.
